Joe Scarborough Rips ‘Women On Fox News’ In Rant Defending His Conservative Credentials

Political News

“Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Thursday took aim at female personalities on Fox News for questioning his conservative credentials.

The MSNBC host said he has considered himself a conservative for many years, but he and others on his network have come under fire recently for advocating against NBC hiring Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. Scarborough defended his politics, saying he still holds conservative beliefs he has held since women on Fox News were children and that supporters of former President Donald Trump are liberals.

NBC News announced Tuesday that it was letting go of McDaniel.

“I’ll tell you what, you’re a liberal on spending if you support Donald Trump,” he said. “You’re a liberal. You just go down the list of things. It is so funny, George. You and I were conservatives and are conservatives, but we were conservatives when some of these women on Fox News who call us liberals were still playing with their barbies.”

“We were fighting for conservative values,” Scarborough added. “We were fighting for conservative values, to balance the budget, to reform welfare, we were fighting to hold Democratic administrations accountable when they were in grade school and have done it our entire life. What’s the difference? When an anti-democratic fascist-leaning guy wants to be president of the United States. You know what, we’re Americans first. Let’s work with other people who support democracy.”

Biden is a fan of “Morning Joe” and frequently calls Scarborough to get his opinions and take out his anger regarding media coverage, Axios reported in February. Scarborough said he “would have strongly objected” to NBC hiring McDaniel because of her involvement with Trump’s effort to contest the 2020 election.
