“Here’s something you need to know…. you are not a woman…. just a boy in dress up,” someone else wrote.

Earlier this year, Bud Light earned massive consumer backlash for enlisting Mulvaney, a man who identifies as a woman, to promote the beer brand.

Mulvaney has also promoted products such as a bra and leggings. “Home for a moment and leaning into cozy workout wear life with @nikewomen ‘s newest Zenvy leggings and Alate bra! They’re so comfortable and buttery soft, perfect for workouts and everyday wear!” he wrote in an April Instagram post.

While interviewing Mulvaney, Forbes’ Kristin Stoller asked what gives Mulvaney the edge over other creators, and Mulvaney opined that it is “humility.”

Mulvaney said that “activism for transness can look many different ways,” adding, “maybe that’s me being in a rom-com or, you know, writing a book.”

Mulvaney, who is 26 years old, will turn 27 later this year.
