IRONY on Morning Joe: If I Think I’m Preaching to the Choir, I’ll Quit

Breaking News

During Wednesday’s edition of Morning Joe on MSNBC, co-host Joe Scarborough proved once again he has zero self awareness. Either that or he doesn’t pay attention to the makeup of his audience or the ideological skew of his conga line of left-wing guests. This is because he openly claimed that he’s not interested in “preaching to the choir” and that if he starts thinking “I’m only preaching to the choir, I will quit and, you know, and do something else.”

During a discussion on the political polarization of Americans, Scarborough insisted that “people actually do turn. It’s harder than it used to be but they do turn and they watch shows, Willie, where you can get both sides.” He then added that “the people are still sorted.”

“Man it is depressing to think that we’re just preaching to the choir. I’m not interested in preaching to the choir and when I start thinking I’m only preaching to the choir, I will quit and, you know, and do something else,” Scarborough laughably claimed.

In an attempt to make his point somehow, Scarborough said that “When Fox News came on in 1996 there was a good reason Fox News came on in 1996. And that’s because 50 percent of the country didn’t want the people who all went to Ivy League schools.”

The other reason according to him was that they were all left of center at ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Times and The Washington Post telling them what the world looked like.”

“They wanted a little more balanced view of the world. That’s where that fair and balanced deal came from,” he added.

While that is true, this doesn’t change the fact that Morning Joe (like the rest of MSNBC) is all one big echo chamber of leftist propaganda. Morning Joe does nothing but preach to the choir.

Time for you to quit, Joe! Take Mika with you.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: People actually do turn. It’s harder than it used to be but they do turn and they watch shows, Willie, where you can get both sides. Again, the people are still sorted but, man it is depressing to think that we’re just preaching to the choir. I’m not interested in preaching to the choir and when I start thinking I’m only preaching to the choir, I will quit and, you know, and do something else, but, Willie, I do want to underline a point. When Fox News came on in 1996 there was a good reason Fox News came on in 1996. And that’s because 50 percent of the country didn’t want the people who all went to Ivy League schools, I’m sorry, it’s the truth and who were all left of center at ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Times and The Washington Post telling them what the world looked like. They wanted a little more balanced view of the world. That’s where that fair and balanced deal came from.
