The NBA play-in game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Clippers had a sticky situation on the court.
No, there was no brawl between players or technical fouls dished out to trash-talking Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverly. During the second quarter of the Timberwolves 109-104 win, a woman from the stands went underneath one of the hoops and superglued herself to the floor to protest for animal rights.
The woman’s name was Alicia Santurio, an investigator with Direct Action Everywhere, a non-profit that uses ”nonviolent direct action (and) community building to create revolutionary social (and) political change for animals.” Santurio glued herself to the floor because the organization got footage of an egg farm owned by Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor that showed that 5 million chickens were killed somewhat brutally. During her shenanigans, Santurino wore a shirt that said, “Glen Taylor roasts animals alive.”

Security came to Santurino and promptly removed her from the court (after getting her unstuck). While there actually might have been a credible reason to protest, Outkick founder Clay Travis best summed up the long-term validity of the protest on Twitter.
