In the latest NewsBusters Podcast, we return to the topic of voting integrity. On The Late Show on CBS, host Stephen Colbert interviewed actor Bradley Whitford, who uncorked cockeyed conspiracy theories like if the Congress doesn’t pass HR1, they’ll meet in “internment camps.”
Not only that, you can’t negotiate with Republicans because Whitford argued “negotiating with a party that worships an insurrectionist feels really close, to me, to negotiating with terrorists.”
Who’s the conspiracy kook now?
We also take up MRC Culture’s study finding 127 TV episodes dwelled on Black Lives Matter talking points about racist cops and the need to defund the police. Then there’s NPR complaining that it’s somehow “baseless” to tell people the self-described Marxist founders of BLM are Marxists. The reporter said one founder “says she does believe in Marxism but laughs at the online comments that say she’s pushing a communist agenda.” What?
