President Joe Biden won’t go to the southern border to see the mess he’s made of things down there. He does, however, have time to spend talking sports with ESPN. He spoke on SportsCenter with Sage Steele Wednesday on the topics of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game in Georgia, fan attendance amid the pandemic and pay for women’s soccer players. Truly bad optics considering the state of the nation right now.
President Biden told SportsCenter he agrees with leftist lemmings demanding that the MLB remove Georgia as the host of their 2021 All-Star Game. Tony Clark, executive director of the MLB Players Association, last week suggested baseball should change the location of the game because Georgia passed comprehensive election reform. Democrats and media pals are calling it a “racist” law.
On Wednesday’s ESPN appearance, the Democrat president praised the social justice warriors getting so much attention in sports:
“I think today’s professional athletes are acting incredibly responsibly. I would strongly support them doing that [changing the site of the all-star game]. People look to them. They’re leaders.
“Look what’s happened with the NBA, as well. Look what’s happened across the board. The very people who are victimized the most are the people who are the leaders in these various sports, and it’s just not right. This is Jim Crow on steroids, what they’re doing in Georgia. … This is all about keeping working folks from being able to vote.”
There hasn’t been an election since Georgia’s brand new law gained passage, and no one has been “victimized” by it. Nonetheless, while his fellow Democrats keep torching freedom with disturbing new laws, and with his border-dissolving executive orders causing a humanitarian crisis in southern states, Biden continues discussing baseball. (Nero also fiddled while Rome burned).
When the subject turned to baseball’s Texas Rangers planning to allow unlimited seating for their April 5 home opener, Biden criticized them, too:
“That’s the decision they’ve made. I think it’s a mistake.
“They should listen to Dr. (Anthony) Fauci and the scientists and the experts. I think that is not responsible.”
Is that no-mask Dr. Fauci, one-mask Dr. Fauci or two-mask Dr. Fauci? The president did not elaborate.
Other baseball teams are only allowing a limited number of fans to attend their home games for the start of the season.
The crisis of baseball’s problems solved, President Biden scored identity politics points with women and African Americans by commenting on how much money women’s soccer players earn:
“The idea that these women are getting paid – just overall women are getting paid 82 cents on the dollar, if you’re a Black woman it’s like 55 cents on the dollar, generically just across the board – but the idea that women’s soccer players are getting paid so much less than the men, I just don’t think it’s right. I don’t think it’s fair. That’s why I’m such a big supporter of Title IX.”
The Heritage Foundation’s Nicole Russell wrote that Biden’s Jan. 20 executive order on transgender athletes actually removes the protection that Title IX has provided for females.
To no one’s surprise, ESPN’s SportsCenter has not yet provided equal time for Republicans to respond to President Biden’s controversial remarks.
As long as the dems keep advocating this crap the more likely that Georgia will turn back to red. It would be nice if the president of the United States could read and understand what he has read. I read the document and everything that Biden and his communist comrades are out preaching about is not true. If the people of Georgia have not read it then they are as ignorant as Biden and his comrades and are living up to what the northerners already say about them: a bunch of trailer park trash that are uneducated and illiterate.

How does the left twist the voting laws that Georgia recently passed as racist or Jim Crow? Have they even read what was made into law, I doubt it very seriously. The main point they do not like is the requirement to produce a valid ID. Boy, that’s a tough requirement isn’t it! How many times does a person (of any color) have to produce an ID in today’s world…nearly every day. If you cash a check at the bank, write a check anywhere, when using your credit card, buying alcoholic beverages, accept registered mail, get stopped by a police officer, and on and on…you have to have a valid ID. It is part of life and has been for years, its no big deal.
im curious how people of color are going to get vaccinated. an id is required. then i wonder how are they going to get their vaccination passport- id required for that also.
Watch how fast the MLB realizes that blacklisting a state will only backfire on them. Because other states will go “ok, you don’t like Georgia? Well, we’re banning the MLB in our state. You cannot send teams here, we will not host your games. You will have zero presence in our state.”
Imagine that spreading. States basically telling sports, who are almost as bad as the Media in terms of Leftist Worship, they are no longer welcome. They rely on being able to air their trashy views during the games Everywhere. If they can’t go to certain states, their profits will start to plummet.
All of my jock friends have been boycotting all of professional and college sports since this BLM, kneeling for the flag, “wokeness” crap started. Now that Biden and his fellow racist communist friends want to boycott the All-Star game, I think I will watch just to jack up ratings to anger the woke.
Big supporter of title X, however has no problem with men who think they are women competing against them. As far as paying women athletes, when they fill the stands to capacity, they will make more money. Until then I will spend my money on the competition that offers the most excitement and athletic ability. Nothing against women, just pure genetics. Men are faster, stronger and have more athletic prowess.
President sure would know, or at least remember, what the “Jim Crow” laws were and why they were used. It is written that Mr. Biden, when he was a Senator, supported the “Jim Crow” laws and the KKK. And during the election campaign, he made a number of rather racists remarks. I guess everyone has forgotten that. But then again, he is a Democrat, the party of corruption, lies, and dishonest people, the party that spends money faster than it can be printed and then sent all over the world. the party of the give aways.
