Back in December Democrat Rita Hart decided to appeal her 6-vote loss in the Iowa-2 race directly to the House of Representatives. Hart claimed there wasn’t time to try to settle the issue in state court. Instead, she wanted to hand the decision over to Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi agreed to seat the certified winner of the race, Republican Marinette Miller-Meeks, at the beginning of this Congress but that doesn’t mean the issue is settled. As Jazz pointed out earlier this month, Pelosi made a point of saying there was still a “scenario” in which Rita Hart could be judged the winner and seated instead.
There was a fair amount of pushback to that idea from Republicans and also from some moderate Democrats who came out against it. Today Pelosi told reporters that she would have been within her rights as Speaker to not seat Miller-Meeks and that she deserves credit for doing so. “It would have been, under the rules, allowable for me to say we’re not seating the member from Iowa. We did not do that. So I want credit for that.”
Pelosi did do the right thing three months ago, so fine I’ll give her credit. But what’s happening now is another matter. Yesterday Rich Lowry pointed out that the Democratic effort to challenge Miller-Meeks win is self-evidently partisan. You don’t bypass the state courts in favor of Nancy Pelosi if you want an unbiased process:

The Elias brief for Hart offers a tinny excuse for avoiding a contest court in Iowa. It states that Hart did now know about all of the 22 ballots she considers improperly discarded until Dec. 1 and that meant there simply wasn’t enough time to go through the court (it would have been made up of the chief justice of the Iowa Supreme Court and four district court judges)…
The decision to skip the contest court and go directly to the House of Representatives is transparently an effort to bypass a body that aspires to neutrality in favor of one that does not, and to avoid a decision based on Iowa law to seek one based on the partisan interests of fellow Democrats…
Sure enough, Elias has basically put the point in black and white. Quoting from the last case when a Democratic-controlled House overturned an election (in 1985 to award an Indiana seat to a Democrat), his brief says the committee is “certainly not bound” to follow Iowa law and indeed, “there are instances where it is in fact bound by justice and equity to deviate from it.”
My sense of this is that Pelosi is not going to pull the trigger on ejecting Miller-Meeks in favor of Rita Hart because it would create a lot of blowback she doesn’t need at this moment. Then again, naked partisan power grabs seem to be the zeitgeist on the left. Taking this seat and ending the Senate filibuster would be a perfect one-two combo to show anyone paying attention that Democrats never cared about norms, only about power.
This is a common tactic used by the democRAT communist party. When they can’t get their way legally they either “change the rules like Harry Reid did with the “nuclear option” change he instituted, or they immediately turn to shopping for a liberal activist judge in some state to file a suite or appeal because they know they will get the result they want. Both of these tactics should cause the people to see just how utterly corrupt the left side of government really is. This is also why the left is obsessed with gun control. They know that “true American patriots” are angry enough about the left’s political corruption and lies that something needs to be done by the people. Waiting for the next election is no longer an option when the entire nation is at stake.

I have a question for our military: Did you not take an oath, a solemn oath, to “support and defend” the United States Constitution “against all enemies, foreign and domestic?” In addition, is it not your DUTY to protect and defend the American republic and its citizens?

That’s what I thought. So why aren’t you doing it? Why are you standing around with your thumbs up your butts and ignoring your DUTY while your country gets flushed down the toilet. And don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about. You know damn well what I am talking about.
Although some in our military have no doubt been paid off by the Chicoms, or are hypnotized by some twisted ideology, or are weak and feckless for other reasons, I believe that there are still enough true patriots, strong, committed patriots, to save our republic from its imminent ruination. It is to you uniformed patriots that I direct this article. You are our last hope…and that is not hyperbole.
What we have here is a unique situation in America’s history. We have no legal sitting president at this time. By legal I mean a president elected in accordance with the rules set down in the Constitution. I assure you that nowhere in the Constitution does it condone the winning of a presidential election through fraud and chicanery – in fact, quite the opposite.
Those who believe that it will mean anything if Trump starts a new political party, or the Republicans take back Congress are idiots. We the People have just experienced an in-your-face “what you gonna do about it” election fraud of historic proportions. There will never again be free and honest elections of any importance. In the future The Powers That Be will elect who they wish to see elected and block who they don’t want. It’s a given, you can take it to the bank.
Each branch of the military has its own intelligence service, and unless they are doing one piss poor job of gathering intelligence, then they know, THEY KNOW, that the only reason that Biden “won” this past presidential election was through deceit and foreign interference. You are fine with that; you are just going to let that slide? If so, then you are a disgrace to your uniform and nothing but a sad, sick joke.

Unless you are prepared to turn your back on your country and your oaths (and perhaps you are) then you need to step up and DO YOUR DUTY, now. Your country needs you like never before; this is no time to go all weak-kneed and spineless on We the People.
Now is an excellent time for you to step up and take charge. As I say, there is currently no legal POTUS, so you would not be committing a coup – there is no president to commit a coup against! You would simply be filling in this peculiar gap that presently exits between one legally elected president and the next.

You didn’t enjoy President Trump’s financial largesse – you would rather go back to the “more porridge if you please sir” begging of the Obama/Biden years? Somehow, I doubt that.

Do it for yourself, for your pride. Do it for We the People, do it for past patriots, and future generations. Do it because it is the right thing to do. Do it for the United States of America. Do your DUTY, or go down in history as the craven spineless cowards that you will have proven yourselves to be.
Being the person you describe, it doesn’t come through that you will have my back. Will you go to prison with me? Will you face potential death with me? If you will stand next to me in this fight you are calling for, then so be it. Otherwise stop.
So NOW that the legal winner of that seat has been confirmed – in spite of all of the whining done by the loser and the overt attempts by ‘princess’ to change that certified result, she is trying to claim credit for the system actually working. Ya just can’t make up that level of chutzpa.
Next thing she will try to take credit for is the sun rising in the east……………………..
As a vet my self I’m in total agreement as I to took the oath many times in my twenty years of service and feel the same. We must do what is right for our Country.
The only thing fancy nancy, the communist, deserves credit for is her decades of treason; she is well deserving of a military tribunal, conviction and a quick hanging; that is the credit AND justice she is so deserving of.
