Transgender troops
Joe Biden signed an executive order this week that makes transgender surgery free for the military. From now on US taxpayers will pay for the medical procedures and surgery for transgender candidates.
The operation is not cheap and can add up to $200,000 per patient. No doubt, this will drive more trans men and women into the military. It’s not clear how this helps the military. But, whatever.
The Washington Examiner reported:
Taxpayers will now foot the bill for gender reassignment surgery for active military personnel and veterans, with some treatments costing upward of $200,000 under an executive order signed by President Biden.
Tucked inside Biden’s Jan. 25 transgender order, “Enabling All Qualified Americans to Serve Their Country in Uniform,” is a clause that repeals an Obama-era policy that prohibited federally funded reassignment surgery. This was followed up by memos from both Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough specifically stating that surgery is now an added benefit.
“This revised policy will also ensure all medically-necessary transition related care authorized by law is available to all Service members,” Austin wrote.
In a VA email to employees, McDonough echoed: “Perform an assessment of the necessary steps to eliminate the exclusion of ‘gender alteration’ (gender affirmation surgery) in the medical benefits package.”
this is NOT meant to help the military but to further demoralize the fine women and men now in uniform. pedo joe and the demonrats care nothing about the military, current, former or future. Actually, they would rather that no one join the military so they can hire mercenaries that they can control, exclusively. That is their plan and is also what brought down the roman empire. First….there should NOT be any transgenders EVER…second any so called doctor or anyone in the operating room performing these operations should DROP DEAD during the procedure.

What a pile of horse pucks. Why should the military using tax-payer dollars be responsible for funding transgender surgery for military veterans? If they want to change their sex do it on their own dime when they’ve finished their hitch. This is just an end run by a discontented group who are trying to take advantage of government handouts. I don’t believe it’s the military’s business to be involved with social programming. The military’s job is to protect our nation not our social foibles.
