Breaking: Tucker Carlson posts video: ‘True things prevail’

Breaking News

Tucker Carlson posted a video on Wednesday evening in the wake of Fox News Media’s surprise press release on Monday claiming that the network and Carlson had “agreed to part ways.”

Carlson, who did not directly address the split with Fox in the video, said that taking time off makes it clear “how unbelievably stupid” most debates on TV are — but he added that “undeniably big topics … get virtually no discussion at all.”

“When honest people say what’s true … they become powerful,” he said, adding that those attempting to “silence them” get “weaker.”

“True things prevail,” he said, noting that there are not many places to find Americans speaking truth, but that some do exist. “As long as you can hear the words there is hope,” he said. “See ya soon.”

The Wall Street Journal, citing unidentified sources, has previously reported that Carlson learned he was being let go around 10 minutes prior to when Fox announced the news of the split.

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” the company’s press release declared. “Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. ‘Fox News Tonight’ will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”
