A Chinese spy balloon has been wafting over American airspace since Wednesday, but the Latino corporate media downplayed the provocation by rehashing the official CCP line: that the balloon – first seen over one of the nation’s nuclear silo fields in Montana – was a “civilian airship” used mainly for weather research, and that China had no intention of spying on anybody.
“China’s foreign minister said they were gathering information on this matter,” said Telemundo anchor Martin Berlanga during the network´s Friday morning newscast. Berlanga further repeated the CCP line, adding that “China does not intend to infringe on the air space of any country.”
At Telemundo´s midday news edition, Nacho Lozano opened their report with a “possible Chinese spy balloon” hovering over the U.S. far, far away “in the stratosphere” which “Beijing says is a civilian research balloon that veered off course.”

Note how both networks repeat the CCP talking points claiming that the spy balloon does not represent a threat either to the military or to civilians. Also, that “officials here in Washington say that this balloon does not have the capacity to gather intelligence beyond what a satellite would”. Do these anchors and journalists really believe their audiences are so gullible to believe that?
Of course, all eyes, as per Javier Vega, from Telemundo, will be on the bad Republicans who are “already talking about a provocation that should not be overlooked.”
Coverage of this story so far represents a new low for Latino media, already regime media for the Democrats, and apparently now also for the Chinese Communist Party.
