U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida (R) has suggested that Israel needs to wipe out Hamas, which has brutally attacked the Jewish state.
“Hamas exists for one reason alone, to wipe out the Jewish state of Israel. So Israel has only one option in response to yesterday’s barbaric attack, the permanent elimination of Hamas. Anyone demanding Israel not ‘escalate’ or calling for a ‘cease-fire’ is either out of touch with this unfortunate reality or sympathizes with Hamas,” Rubio tweeted.
“Israel has no choice but to seek the complete eradication of Hamas in Gaza. There simply is no diplomatic solution or ‘measured response’ available,” Rubio declared. “This tragically necessary effort will come at a horrifying price. But the price of failing to permanently eliminate this group of sadistic savages is even more horrifying.”
“There can be no cease-fire, negotiated solution or peaceful coexistence with depraved barbarians who murder teen-aged girls,children & the elderly and then dump them in the streets of Gaza so bloodthirsty crowds can desecrate their bodies? Hamas must be eradicated & Israel must respond DISPROPORTIONATELY to this & to any futures attacks from any enemy,” Rubio wrote.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel will win the war and that Hamas will grasp the gravity of the error made by launching an assault against the country.
“Hamas will understand that by attacking us, they’ve made a mistake of historic proportions. We will exact a price that will be remembered by them and Israel’s other enemies for decades to come,” Netanyahu declared.
At least 11 U.S. citizens have been killed during the attacks, according to President Joe Biden. “While we are still working to confirm, we believe it is likely that American citizens may be among those being held by Hamas,” Biden also noted.
GOP Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas has indicated that America “should give Israel our unwavering support to destroy Hamas.”
