Former Anheuser-Busch figure predicts ‘a long, hot, dry summer’ for the beer company

Breaking News

Former President of Anheuser-Busch Sales & Distribution Company Anson Frericks is predicting that the company’s sales slump will continue if it does not determine to steer clear of political issues in a bid to regain estranged customers.

When the Daily Wire requested for Frericks to predict Bud Light’s situation one year in the future, he suggested that it will be “a long, hot, dry summer for Anheuser-Busch.”

Bud Light alienated many beer drinkers by tapping transgender figure Dylan Mulvaney to promote its product, a move that has been met with significant backlash, including a boycott movement that has translated into decreased sales.

“I think that you’re going to see sales continue to be down because customers, it’s too easy for them to switch to other brands, and they’re seeing the impact of their results,” Frericks noted, according to the outlet. “If they want those customers back, they have an easy decision that they can make, which is saying, ‘We want Bud Light customers back, therefore Bud Light is not going to get involved with political issues moving forward.’ If not, they’re probably going to be in a worse position next year and their sales will continue to decline.”

Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth said in statement last month that the company “never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people.”

But while many disapprove of the beer company’s move to have a biological man who identifies as a woman promote its product, Anheuser-Busch has also displeased the proponents of radical leftist gender ideology who disapprove of how the beer company has dealt with the Mulvaney-related backlash.

“Anheuser-Busch had a key moment to really stand up and demonstrate the importance of their values of diversity, equity and inclusion and their response really fell short,” Eric Bloem of the Human Rights Campaign said, according to USA Today.
