Satnam Sumal, 55, was allegedly involved in a throuple relationship with his wife and her girlfriend – who both lived at their home in Tracy, California.

Fox News said of Tracy, “The crime scene is a home on Sunflower Lane in a city that the U.S. Census Bureau listed as a top 100 wealthiest cities in the country.”

Tracy Police Sgt. Michael Richards said Sumal was aware of the open and romantic relationship between his wife, 39-year-old Satbinder Singh, and her girlfriend, 37-year-old Nadjiba Belaidi.

Sumal purportedly shot both women with a .40-caliber handgun, according to the criminal complaint.

After the alleged murders, Sumal walked into the Tracy Police Department around mid-day Monday and confessed to the double murder, authorities say.

Police officers found both women dead at Sumal’s residence on Monday.

According to KOVR, “Neighbors say two children under the age of ten also lived at this home, although those children were not home at the time of the shooting.”

Police arrested Sumal and charged him with two counts of murder. He was booked in San Joaquin County Jail with no bail.

Richards said, “In my 20-some-odd years in law enforcement, I can’t think of that ever happening.”

Karuppiah Karuppiah, a neighbor of Sumal, said he was unaware of the threesome relationship at the nearby home.

“It is really scary, and it’s very unfortunate in this community this happened, and I feel very bad about it,” Karuppiah said.

San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas said in a statement on Wednesday, “Victim-Witness Advocates are readily available to the families as they navigate this difficult time. On behalf of my administration, we offer our sincerest condolences on their tragic loss.”

Police have yet to determine a motive for the love triangle murders.

The Tracy Police Department is urging anyone with information about the deaths of the two women to contact Detective Philip Giusto at or (209) 831-6651 or Detective Kenneth Steele at or (209) 831-6660.
