Psaki Lets AOC Claim Tucker Incites Violence, Regulate TV News

Political News

On Sunday’s Inside with Jen Psaki on MSNBC, eponymous host and former Biden press secretary brought on socialist New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and allowed her to claim without evidence that Fox News host Tucker Carlson “other folks on Fox” are guilty of “incitement of violence.” This unsubstantiated claim came after she advocated the federal government regulate what can be said on Fox News. Neither claim was given any push back or request for clarification from Psaki.

The former Biden administration flack turned MSNBC host, brought up Fox News Channel’s recent legal settlement and asked the leading question to AOC: “Do you think media organizations or social media platforms should be accountable for the role, for being platforms for incitement?”

This gave AOC her opening to slime Fox News and call for federal regulation of Fox’s on air commentary and news coverage, which is a clear violation of the First Amendment: “I believe that when it comes to broadcast television, like Fox News, these are subject to federal law, federal regulation in terms of what’s allowed on air and what isn’t,” she huffed.

“And when you look at what Tucker Carlson and some of these other folks on Fox do, it is very very clearly incitement of violence. Very clearly incitement of violence. And that is the line that I think we have to be willing to contend with,” she cried.

After AOC said that, Psaki refused to push back on her false claims and totalitarian calls for regulation of an independent news organization. Instead, Psaki simply moved on to another topic and let AOC’s comments sit with the audience.

This apparent endorsement of censorship of conservative media was made possible by Liberty Mutual. Their information is linked.
