Nets Ignore Biden’s Daughter-In-Law Receiving Chinese Wire Transfer

Political News

Thursday saw the latest revelation in the ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s corrupt overseas business dealings. As NewsBusters previously reported, all three evening news networks ignored House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) gaining access to the bank records of Hunter Biden’s business associates. Even with more concrete information on who benefitted from Hunter’s corruption has been made public, the “big three” nightly newscasts were still uninterested in the story.

Instead, the three networks were preoccupied with superficial stories like March Madness (ABC), former football player Jalen Carter being sentenced to probation for a fatal car crash (CBS), and a segment on so-called “Cancer Alley” in Louisiana which NBC made sure to fit in a racial angle into the story.

Meanwhile, on Fox News Channel’s Special Report, correspondent Rich Edson reported that the “newly accessed banking records detail more than a million dollars transferred from a Chinese energy company through a Biden family associate and into accounts connected to President Biden’s family.”

In a memo from Comer, Edson revealed how there were “payments to the President’s son Hunter, brother James, and daughter-in-law Hallie.”

According to the banking records: a Chinese firm called “State Energy HK Limited wired Biden family associate Rob Walker $3 million.”

“Soon after, Walker sent more than a million dollars to bank accounts linked to Biden family members. Walker worked with Hunter and James on a partnership with Chinese energy firm CEFC,” Edson reported.

Despite the Biden administration crying victim, “Comer says his committee is requesting more bank records.”

“A spokesperson for Hunter Biden’s legal team tells Fox the bank accounts belong to Hunter, his uncle James and Hallie while she and Hunter were involved in sharing expenses,” Edson noted at the end of his report.

“Spokesperson says the funds were good faith seed money, part of a legal business venture with a legitimate company that they say Hunter had every right to pursue,” Edson concluded before tossing back to anchor Bret Baier.

This bias by omission from the three networks was made possible by Nature’s Bounty on ABC, ADT Systems on CBS, and Liberty Mutual on NBC. Their information is linked.

RICH EDSON: The committee’s chairman James Comer is now naming at least one of them. Comer says the House Oversight Committee is taking a very calculated patient approach in investigating President Biden’s family and their business dealings. An inquiry he calls a priority for his committee.

Newly accessed banking records detail more than a million dollars transferred from a Chinese energy company through a Biden family associate and into accounts connected to President Biden’s family. That’s what House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer alleges in a memo documenting payments to the President’s son Hunter, brother James, and daughter-in-law Hallie.

REP. JAMES COMER: We have evidence that shows a concerning pattern by the Biden family members to get suspicious amounts of money from our adversaries around the world.

EDSON: Comer says in 2017, Chinese firm State Energy HK Limited wired Biden family associate Rob Walker $3 million. Soon after, Walker sent more than a million dollars to bank accounts linked to Biden family members. Walker worked with Hunter and James on a partnership with Chinese energy firm CEFC.

The top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee says Comer’s focus is misplaced and quote after four years of investigations by Senate and House Republicans into Hunter Biden they have found no connection to the President of the United States or indeed any government official at all. Raskin suggests Comer should instead look into the multi-billion dollar investment the Saudi government gave last year to President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Comer also claims President Biden’s daughter-in-law Hallie received $35,000 over two transfers in 2017. Halle is the widow of President Biden’s son Beau. She was also in a relationship with Hunter after Bo died. A White House spokesperson says, quote: After a disgusting attack lamenting that the President’s deceased son Beau was never prosecuted while he was alive, Congressman Comer has now decided to go after Beau’s widow. Comer says his committee is requesting more bank records.

COMER: In the next few days, we’re going to get information from another bank.

EDSON: A spokesperson for Hunter Biden’s legal team tells Fox the bank accounts belong to Hunter, his uncle James and Hallie while she and Hunter were involved in sharing expenses. Spokesperson says the funds were good faith seed money, part of a legal business venture with a legitimate company that they say Hunter had every right to pursue.
