MSNBC: No Legitimate Reason to Keep Eric Swalwell Off Intel Committee

Breaking News

Apparently having sex with a Chinese spy as a member of Congress isn’t enough for MSNBC. During Monday night’s The 11th Hour on MSNBC, frequent guest Jason Johnson lashed out at House Speaker Kevin McCarthy for daring to express his desire to prevent Democrat Congressmen Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell, the latter of which had reportedly had sex with a Chinese spy, from serving on the House Intelligence Committee.

Attempting to deflect from Schiff and Swalwell, Johnson wailed that “Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene were kicked off of committees in 2021 because they support terrorism. We can’t pretend that’s not the case. They support terrorism. They supported the men and women who stormed the capitol and tried to kill their colleagues.”

Johnson then said with a straight face and without any hint of irony that “there’s no legitimate reason to keep Schiff or Swalwell off the intelligence committee. In fact, if anything it’s to lock out people who are primarily concerned with this country from knowing the dangers that perhaps other colleagues on the committee provide to this country.”

He gave no proof of any Republican members of Congress being a danger to the United States. Nor did he explain how Gosar or Greene “support terrorism.” This isn’t surprising since MSNBC doesn’t support facts. Whoever yells the loudest and levels the most unhinged insults apparently get invited back on air more frequently.

Johnson ended by crying that “these are people who are primarily engaged in a slow-moving insurrection,” and that Republicans somehow are “actively a part of trying to overthrow the government violently.”

JASON JOHNSON: It means McCarthy has no spine. He’s a liar, and he doesn’t care about the safety of the country. Look, Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene were kicked off of committees in 2021 because they support terrorism. We can’t pretend that’s not the case. They support terrorism. They supported the men and women who stormed the capitol and tried to kill their colleagues.

If there’s any reason to kick you out of the club, it should be trying to murder other people in the club. Or at least, providing aid and comfort to the people trying to murder other people in the club. There’s no legitimate reason to keep Schiff or Swalwell off the intelligence committee. In fact, if anything it’s to lock out people who are primarily concerned with this country from knowing the dangers that perhaps other colleagues on the committee provide to this country.

So, it doesn’t surprise me, but again, this is Stephanie, this is just the beginning. These are not serious people. These are not people concerned about running the government. These are people who are primarily engaged in a slow-moving insurrection. And so, the idea of petty personal rivalries pales in comparison to the fact that you will now have people who are actively apart of trying to overthrow the government violently having access to high-level security information which will make their next attack all that much easier to plan.
