Maher Labels Democrats As ‘The Party Of No Common Sense’

Political News

HBO Real Time host Bill Maher continued to call out the anti-scientific and excessively woke Democratic Party on Friday as he labeled the party “the party of no common sense” for thinking that separating sports by sex is problematic.

Maher was referencing a recent piece that ran in The Altantic “called Separating Sports by Sex Doesn’t Make Sense” when he loudly and frustratedly explained, “Yes it does!”

For Maher, this is part of a bigger trend, “And this is the problem with the Democrats. They are the party of no common sense.”

Before the segment could continue, Atlantic staff writer Caitlin Flanagan suffered a case of the giggle fits as she disagreed with the article, impishly responding, “You found your blow job. Yes, I know… all these things together are our problem.”

Flanagan’s Only-on-HBO remarks were not totally out of nowhere as they referenced an earlier portion of the panel discussion where the topic of conversation was conservative opposition to books dealing with transgenderism in school libraries that graphically depict such acts.

Trying, but not necessarily succeeding, to recover her I-can’t-believe-I-said-that-on-TV moment, Flanagan argued that both the book and the article represent “these insane social issues and identitarian politics are distracting” from what she considers more serious policy.

Getting the segment back on track, Maher returned to the article, “Can—can– I read some of this article?… ‘Maintaining this binary in youth sports’ — maintaining this binary meaning boys and girls on different teams when they’re young— ‘reinforces the idea that the boys are inherently bigger, faster, and stronger.’”

After pausing to let the absurdity of that sentence sink in, an exasperated Maher declared “They are!”

Continuing to read from the article that cited sociology professors instead of biology professors, Maher added “‘A notion that has been challenged by scientists for years.”’

A recovered Flanagan then interrupted as she and Maher simultaneously proclaimed, “No, it hasn’t.”

Maher then mocked the idea “these are like—these they follow the science people.”

To show just how absurd The Atlantic article was, it had to rely on youth—not teenage or adult—soccer players as its main evidence point. No wonder it was widely ridiculed.
