Liberals angry over low polling for President Joe Biden, and the Democrats excoriated CNN and MSNBC over the weekend.
Biden and the Democrats continue to garner historically low support from Americans in numerous polls ahead of the pivotal midterm elections. Some on the left are attempting to blame the media instead of the state of the economy and the incompetence of the Biden administration.
The outrage mob against CNN and MSNBC was whipped up on Sunday by the Palmer Report, a progressive news outlet.
“MSNBC and CNN insist they’re speaking difficult truths about Biden and the Democrats that we need to hear. But it’s really just hyperbolic Democrat-bashing, and objectively speaking, it’s unwarranted. Viewers are turning off MSNBC and CNN because they’re tired of this bulls***,” said the outlet in a
series of tweets.
The outlet went on to claim that liberals were increasing in their support of the Democratic party but MSNBC and CNN weren’t reporting it.
“If MSNBC and CNN are smart, they’ll drop this contrarian hyperbole and simply give viewers the truth they’re seeking. Viewers overwhelmingly want to know how to line up behind the Democratic Party for the midterms. When will MSNBC and CNN simply give them that?” the
outlet asked.
Many on the left agreed with the criticism.
“MSNBC AND CNN fail to realize that democracy is on the line,” was
one response.
“Hear that @MSNBC and @CNN – you’re being turned off. Get it together because you’re turning into another Fox,” read one popular reply.
“YOU BETTER GET A GRIP OVER THERE AT MSNBC AND CNN. DEMOCRACY IS ON IT’S LAST BREATH . WAKE THE F*** UP,” read
another tweet.
“MSNBC and CNN want the Democrats to lose the elections. Both blame the Democrats while ignoring the chaos the Republicans are causing and them voting no on anything that helps everyday Americans. They did the same thing with Hillary and helped elect a treasonous president,”
tweeted another detractor.
Others criticized the news outlets for focusing too much on high inflation and gas prices.
“Every show on MSNBC AND CNN yells LOOK AT INFLATION. Never do they SAY’WHOLESALE PRICES FOR WHEAT, CORN, COFFEE, SUGAR AND OIL ARE DOWN 30%,” said
one tweet.
“Gas prices continue to go down across the country. Who else wants to see MSNBC and CNN highlight THAT instead of their DEM bashing?” read
another tweet.
Polling has been so terrible for Biden and the Democrats that some on the left are openly opposing the possible re-election nomination for Biden in the 2024 election.
