ABC Ignores Federal Marshals Sent to Protect SCOTUS from Pro-Abortion Mobs

Political News

On Wednesday afternoon, the Biden Justice Department announced they will be sending federal marshals to protect the safety of the United States Supreme Court Justices in the aftermath of the acts of terrorism by pro-abortion activists around the country who are agitated over the leaked court opinion draft overturning Roe v. Wade.

Despite the fact of this news that the federal government was moved to provide extra security to Supreme Court justices, because pro-abortion leftists can’t handle not getting their own way, ABC’s World News Tonight decided to ignore the announcement from the Justice Department and continue fearmongering over the possibility of Republicans passing a nationwide abortion ban if they gain control of Congress.

However, both CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News managed to report on the justices needing heightened security. Nikole Killion announced, “the Attorney General has directed the U.S. Marshals to ensure the justices’ safety, and he’s being briefed on security around the Supreme Court.” Adding, “CBS News has also learned that state and local law enforcement agencies remain on high alert. The justices are scheduled to meet tomorrow.”

Earlier in her report, Killion revealed that Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) has received multiple death threats from enraged pro-abortion leftists who are presumably angry at her for voting for Trump’s Supreme Court nominees. Collins told CBS she “received threatening phone calls, letters, threats of sexual assault, threats against my family members.”

On NBC Nightly News, anchor Lester Holt announced at the top of his segment on the national debate over abortion that the “Attorney General directed U.S. Marshals to ensure safety of Supreme Court justices, it comes amid protests over the leak of that draft decision that could overturn Roe v. Wade.”

Meanwhile, ABC’s World News Tonight was more interested in sliming Republicans for what they may or may not do if they win control of Congress in November. Congressional correspondent Rachel Scott whined that “with the Supreme Court likely to overturn Roe v. Wade, Democrats say it’s just the beginning.”

After letting Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) lie about Republicans wanting to ban “birth control”, “Plan B”, and “IUDs”, she kvetched that “Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell recently said it is possible Republicans could pass a federal abortion ban if they win back Congress.”

RACHEL SCOTT: With the Supreme Court likely to overturn Roe v. Wade, Democrats say it’s just the beginning.

SEN. PATTY MURRAY: They are coming after your birth control. They are coming after Plan B and IUDs. And right here in the Senate, they are talking about a federal abortion ban. A federal abortion ban.

SCOTT: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell recently said it is possible Republicans could pass a federal abortion ban if they win back Congress. Today, he called the Democrats’ bill radical.

SEN. MITCH MCCONNELL: This bill would take us to an even more extreme and darker place.

SCOTT: The bill would make abortion rights outlined in Roe v. Wade federal law. It would also override state laws banning abortion before twenty-four weeks and abolish state restrictions like mandatory ultrasounds and waiting periods. Those provisions convincing Democratic Senator Joe Manchin to join every single Republican in voting no.
