NEW NewsBusters Podcast: Biden Pooper Scoopers Launch Into Overdrive in Poland

Political News

President Biden’s gaffes in Poland about the red-hot Russian war on Ukraine have not gone over well among the European allies. Our media elites wanted to compare Biden to JFK or Ronald Reagan speaking boldly about Russia, but they ended up trying to insist these gaffes weren’t really gaffes. Either they soft-pedaled them or ignored them entirely.

At least they covered Biden saying Putin ”cannot remain in power.” The Sunday newspaper headlines were something. The Washington Post came with this headline at the top:

Biden: Putin ‘cannot remain in power’
White House insists remark was not about regime change

The New York Times was even worse, not acknowledging a White House cleanup:

Rallying Allies, Biden Says Putin ‘Cannot Remain in Power’
Fiery Statement After Visiting Refugees.

The Times story didn’t acknowledge White House cleanup until paragraph 9, inside the paper. A Washington Post reporter tweeted Biden was “sometimes inarticulate,” which spurred left-wing rage on Twitter.

Biden committed another gaffe in Poland that didn’t get as much attention, telling the 82nd Airborne in the south of Poland what they will see in the streets of Ukraine “when you are there.” The White House had to repeat there were no plans to send troops into Ukraine.

AP’s story on that speech ignored the “when you are there” gaffe but found time to note Biden talking about visiting his son Beau in Iraq. This leads into a brief note about S.E. Cupp bringing up Hunter Biden on Sunday’s Reliable Sources. It was brief, but shocking.

We conclude with some crazy radical Twitter reactions to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars, complete with mentions of “texturism,” “ableism,” — even “ablenoir” — and invocations of white settler colonialism.
