The 1619 Project, that bad faith, cynical reinterpretation of American history that’s been percolating in some of our high schools’ curricula, is apparently being greenlit for the Hollywood TV and film treatment by none other than our beloved Oprah Winfrey and Lionsgate Studios.

What better way is there to handle our current moment of racial unrest other than showing impressionable viewers that America’s great legacy is actually a terrible one that was fashioned in order to keep slavery alive in the new world?

Variety reported on June 8 that “Oprah Winfrey, The New York Times and Lionsgate are partnering on a series of feature films and television shows based on ‘The 1619 Project.’” Oh, happy day. The aim is to reframe America’s founding history in a much more racial light.

Considering the country is now being rattled by Black Lives Matter protests and American citizens are being scared into admitting untruths to appease the BLM mob – like the untruths that cops are “hunting down” African Americans – it seems there’s no better time for Hollywood to mass produce a whole host of racial myths about America. Many of us seem to be imbibing them.

Nikole Hannah-Jones, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist behind the “Project,” described procuring the Hollywood apparatus to produce her series of films and shows. “We took very seriously our duty to find TV and film partners that would respect and honor the work and mission of ‘The 1619 Project,’, that understood our vision and deep moral obligation to doing justice to these stories.”

Yeah, deep moral obligation to spreading lies and terrible faith lessons on American history. In June, The Federalist reported on Jones’ own perspective of history, which was clearly distilled into her award-winning intellectual propaganda. She has expressed that “the white race” is the “biggest murderer, rapist, pillager, and thief of the modern world” and has also claimed that the people who shaped the new world, including “Christopher Columbus and those like him” “were no different then [sic] Hitler.”

Very interesting. Seeing her hatred for Western Civilization’s conquest of the Americas, is it any wonder that Hannah-Jones would argue that the central premise of the American founding was to preserve and protect slavery? She wrote, “the framers carefully constructed a document that preserved and protected slavery without ever using the word.”

“Some might argue that this nation was founded not as a democracy but as a slavocracy,” she added in the “Project,” as well. Of course, this goes directly against our founding fathers’ intentions. As Abraham Lincoln explained in 1854, “the plain unmistakable spirit of that age, towards slavery, was hostility to the principle, and toleration, only by necessity.”

This divisive BS inspires Winfrey, though, who expressed her excitement to be part of the project. “From the first moment I read ‘The 1619 Project’ and immersed myself in Nikole Hannah-Jones’s transformative work, I was moved, deepened and strengthened by her empowering historical analysis.” She’s been moved by historical fiction, more accurately.

Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer stated, “For many Americans, ‘The 1619 Project’ was a great awakening and a true history that you probably never learned in school.” There was a reason it wasn’t taught in school, based on its slanted history.

New York Times assistant managing editor Sam Dolnick stated, “We believe that Lionsgate and Oprah Winfrey are the perfect combination of partners who understand the editorial integrity of The Times and the gravity of The 1619 Project’s message.” In other words, the New York Times is proud to have powerful accomplices willing to spread anti-American propaganda.

There is no official timeline confirmed for any of the upcoming series or films, so perhaps we can reach out to Lionsgate and The New York Times and the Oprah Winfrey Network to help them change their minds before putting this out there.
